OUTSTE(A)M STEM toolkit evaluation with Early Childhood educators and Primary teachers takes place in DCU

OUTSTE(A)M is an EU funded project in partnership with European Schoolnet (Belgium), Asociacion de Investigacion de la Industria del Juguete conexas y afines (Spain), Stichting International Child Development Initiatives (The Netherlands) and Dublin City University. The centrepiece of the OUTSTE(A)M project is the development of a toolkit that will provide early childhood educators and teachers with STEM teaching resources, and age-appropriate learning tools that support the investigation of STEM outdoors.

DCU are responsible for testing the toolkit and part of this process is an in-depth evaluation of the toolkit with EC settings and schools in the Republic of Ireland. On Thursday 30th January, 2025 early years educators and primary teachers participated in the first of three events to evaluate and improve the toolkit before wider dissemination across the EU.

A big thank you to the early childhood educators, teachers, principals and Board of Managements from the following settings who shared their expertise so generously:

    • Happy Days Ballyporeen (Tipperary)
    • BrightStart St Finians (Dublin)
    • Thornleigh Educate Together NS (Dublin)
    • Rush and Lusk Educate Together NS (Dublin)
    • St Declan’s NS (Dublin)
