New collection of Science on Stage teaching resources available online

Check out the new collection of science teaching resources which presents demonstrations and teaching ideas prepared and selected by the Irish Science on Stage team that attended the European Science on Stage festival held in Estoril Congress Centre in Cascais, Portugal on the 31 October to 3 November 2019. Under the motto “Skills for the Future” 450 primary and secondary school teachers from 30 countries shared experiments and teaching ideas for science, technology and mathematics education at stands, in workshop and on stage over four days in Cascais. The 2019 collection of resources contains 134  pages of new demonstrations and teaching ideas that are published as a new book “Science on Stage 2019 Teaching ideas and demonstrations selected by the Irish team” which is freely available online. In addition the team have recorded these teaching ideas in video format and these are freely available on http://www.scienceonstage.ie/resources/

The gratitude of the thousands of teachers and educators who receive this free collection of demonstrations and teaching ideas must principally go to the very hard-working team of 2019 contributors: Declan Cathcart, Máire Duffy, Rory Geoghegan, David Keenahan, Seán Kelleher, Sinead Kelly, Aoife McDonnell, Eilish McLoughlin, Thomas McMahon, Paul Nugent and Jane Shimizu. Special thanks to Rory Geoghegan for editing and layout of Science on Stage books and Marek Bogacki for producing all Science on Stage videos.
