Biography

 

Nicola Broderick is a lecturer in Science Education and works in the area of Initial Teacher Education (ITE). Currently her main responsibilities include researching, developing and facilitating ITE and continuous professional development courses in science education.
Expertise

 

Nicola’s research interests include the Nature of Science and inquiry based science methodologies. She was involved in the Fibonacci Project and co-wrote a book for primary school teachers “Real Science for Young Scientists”, an innovative, inquiry based teacher resource book. She is currently working collaboratively with the Science Education team on the European project SUSTAIN, a project which aims to promote Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) through inquiry based learning.
